When do you need a property valuation?

Property valuation services or market appraisals are predominantly used for determining the value of a property prior to sale. Other reasons to seek a valuation may include:

  • Remortgaging a property

  • Raising finance for a project, renovation or development

  • Re-assessment of personal finances – inheritance tax, capital gains tax, etc.

  • Establishing a value for matrimonial dispute or divorce

Any valuation for lending purposes will be carried out by an RICS Registered Valuer with the relevant experience and insurance.
